Florida State has its eyes set on 2028 four-star wide receiver Bubba Brown. He's a local kid from Tallahassee who attends Florida State University High School, and he locked in four game visits to see the Seminoles this season.
The first was for their season opener against the New Mexico State Aggies. His next trip to see FSU was supposed to be on Oct. 31 for their Halloween battle with the Clemson Tigers. However, Brown made it back on Monday night when they took on the SMU Mustangs in their ACC opener.
Kickoff was delayed for an hour and 40 minutes because of a power outage. Once things began, Brown would go on to enjoy the atmosphere around him inside Doak Campbell Stadium.
"Just standing on the sidelines talking to coach Tim Harris, coach Ris,
they always do a good job of checking on me, and when I'm here making me feel like I'm part of the team already. Just being on the sideline talking to the guys, dapping up Micahi Danzy and stuff, just making sure I'm good, I really respect that," Brown told Noles247.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder also has some ties to several players on Florida State due to being from the same area. He mentioned what it was like being with them on Monday night as well.
"Micahi Danzy, Keenen June, Nehemiah Chandler, all those guys from being around the city and going to my school as well, just being able to talk to them whenever and reach out," Brown said.
Brown is the No. 140 overall player nationally and the No. 20 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Florida, he's the No. 18 prospect.
FSU is on a bye week, but Brown will see them again on Sept. 19 in Tuscaloosa when they take on the Alabama Crimson Tide. The hope, although it's not likely, is that the Seminoles can put on a performance that will impress Brown and keep them firmly in the mix in his recruitment.
