Florida State wide receiver Duce Robinson’s breakout performance against the Alabama Crimson Tide earned him national recognition. Robinson was named the Shriners Children’s East-West Bowl Offensive Player of the Week after recording six receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown in Florida State’s 50-36 loss on Saturday.
The senior made an immediate impact in Tuscaloosa. Robinson caught a 15-yard pass on Florida State’s first offensive play before finishing the opening drive with a 20-yard touchdown reception, giving the Seminoles an early 7-0 lead. It was Robinson’s first touchdown of the 2026 season.
His production continued throughout the night with additional receptions of 8, 19, 33 and 40 yards. The 40-yard catch in the fourth quarter pushed
Robinson past 2,000 career receiving yards.
Robinson’s 135 yards represented his best performance of the season and his sixth career 100-yard receiving game at Florida State, tying him for 14th in program history. Florida State also noted that his six career games with at least 120 receiving yards rank second nationally among active wide receivers.
The performance provided an encouraging response after Robinson had been relatively quiet through FSU’s first two games. It also helped fuel a Seminoles passing attack that finished with 377 yards against Alabama, with Robinson leading the team in both receptions and receiving yards.
Florida State, now 1-2, returns home Saturday to face Central Arkansas at 3 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
