The Florida State Seminoles will take on the Louisville Cardinals at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium for the first time since 2022, and FSU fans are feeling a little more confident about the gauntlet they are currently in.
In recent years, the Cardinals have seen success at the position, with, most notably, Lamar Jackson turning into a superstar in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens. In 2015, Jackson didn't just upset then-No. 2 Florida State; he crushed them, 63-20.
From 2020 to 2025, the Cardinals have had four winning seasons in a row, most recently, a 9-4 record in 2025 and, best of all, a 10-4 campaign in 2023. Louisville has been ranked at least once every year since 2022.
Here's what you should know about Louisville, particularly their quarterbacking
situation compared to Florida State's.
Louisville: Who is QB Lincoln Kienholz?
The Cardinals are concerned that Kienholz may not be available for the match against FSU. Presently, 18 players are on the injury report. This is Kienholz's first year in Louisville after a stint with the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2023 to 2025.
