In the 2027 recruiting cycle, Florida State has 15 commitments. With that said, they're still working to add their first cornerback pledge. JUCO prospect Coaleon Johnson is a player they are interested in.
Last month, they made him an offer. On Tuesday, FSU sent Director of College Scouting Joe Manion to see Johnson in person. He watched Johnson practice at Iowa Western Community College per Kolby Crawford of Noles247
."The visit was great today, had a great conversation with him. Will be visiting next month, can't wait," Johnson said.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder is the No. 8 player and the No. 2 cornerback in 247Sports composite JUCO rankings. He's also listed as the No. 3 prospect in the state of Illinois.
The Seminoles won't have an easy time
get Johnson to commit to them. According to him, he's speaks with the Ole Miss and the Missouri Tigers on a daily basis. So, Florida State will have to increase their efforts going forward.
Four-star recruit Aidyn Wiggins, who is committed Auburn Tigers, is another player at cornerback FSU is after, and they offered him earlier this month. Three-star Daveon Belhomme is also, and they recently gained some momentum in his recruitment.
