The FSU Seminoles have one of their toughest test in ACC this season on Saturday as they host the Virginia Cavaliers. It will not only give them a chance pick up a big win, but it'll also give them the opportunity to impress 2028 four-star offensive tackle Omari Lawson, who's currently committed to the Syracuse Orange.
Florida State is a little late to the party in terms of offering Lawson as that didn't happen until earlier this month. The 6-foot-6, 260-pounder is fresh off a visit to see FSU's arch-rival the Florida Gators who beat the Ole Miss Rebels handily 52-28. Florida is one of the schools that Lawson says is involved the most in his recruitment along with the LSU Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Syracuse.

eager to see the Seminoles this weekend as they look to rise up his list of schools.
"I'm looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere and meeting the coaches," Lawson told Noles247.
For Florida State, this will give them a chance to separate themselves from the other contenders and increase their odds of a flip of Lawson. One thing that's working in their favor is that he plays his high school ball in Jacksonville, which is only two and half hours from Tallahassee.
"Just being close to home is mainly the reason, and to build the relationships," said Lawson.
He is the nation's No. 119 overall recruit and the No. 15 offensive tackle per 247Sports composite rankings. He's also listed as the No. 15 prospect in the state of Florida.
FSU desperately needs to get offensive line help on the high level as opposed to relying on the transfer portal. This has made Lawson a key flip target as they look to add to their 2028 haul that currently has three-star edge Meshi Dobson, three-star athlete Chayse Brown, and three-star tight end Troy Silberzahn committed.
