The FSU Seminoles are looking to get a head start on the 2029 recruiting cycle. Four-star edge Dotarius "DJ" Washington is a recruit they have their eyes on. The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder announced on social media that Florida State has extended him an offer.
"I am blessed to receive an offer from florida state," Washington wrote.
Although he's just a sophomore, Washington has gotten offers from some notable programs. That list includes the Miami Hurricanes, Florida Gators, Texas A&M Aggies, Tennessee Volunteers, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Washington is the No. 33 player nationally and the No. 5 edge per 247Sports. They have him listed as the No. 3 recruit in the state of Alabama as well.
He had a very solid freshman year
with 22 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, and one blocked punt. He's on pace to have a much better year as a sophomore, as he's logged 15 tackles, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one pass breakup in two games so far.
Since he's in Alabama, FSU will undoubtedly look to get him on campus for a visit soon.
