FSU football now knows when it will return to Doak Campbell Stadium following its upcoming trip to play the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Seminoles’ Sept. 26 home game against the Central Arkansas Bears will kick off at 3 p.m. ET on ACC Network, the ACC announced Monday as part of its Week 4 television selections.
The matchup will be Florida State’s first home game since its 27-24 loss to the SMU Mustangs on Labor Day and the first meeting between the Seminoles and Bears in program history. FSU travels to face Alabama on Sept. 19 before returning to Tallahassee one week later.
Central Arkansas weekend will also serve as Florida State’s Family Weekend and Hall of Fame Weekend at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak S. Campbell Stadium.
The matchup carries an
additional connection for Seminoles coach Mike Norvell, who played wide receiver at Central Arkansas from 2001-05 before beginning his coaching career there as a graduate assistant. Norvell finished his playing career as UCA’s all-time leader with 213 receptions and was inducted into the school’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
