The FSU Seminoles suffered their second decommitment after firing head coach Mike Norvell on Wednesday, as 2028 three-star edge Meshi Dobson reopened his recruitment. It was not a surprising move after the coaching change, but it is the second one in as many days after three-star tight end Troy Silberzahn decommitted on Tuesday.
FSU's 2028 recruiting class is down to three-star athlete Chayse Brown, three-star safety Man Robinson, and unranked wide receiver Treiy Crenshaw after the two decommitments. More movement is likely to come in their 2027 and 2027 recruiting classes after the overhaul of the coaching staff is completed over the next few months.
Dobson is ranked as the No. 467 overall player and No. 43 edge in the 247Sports composite. He
is also the No. 59 player from Florida.
He was the only trench player in FSU's 2028 recruiting class. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder has had a productive junior season, recording 34 tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss, 13.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles, one of which he returned for a touchdown, in six games for Cypress Bay High School
The Seminoles now have three commitments, giving them one of the best recruiting classes in the ACC and one of the better in the country, according to the 247Sports team rankings. Here is where FSU's recruiting class ranks among the 20 best in the country.
