Florida State needs to find a way to put some wins together to keep their top commits in the 2027 recruiting class. The main guy is top-ranked pledge Ta'Shawn Poole out of Howard High School in Macon, Georgia.
He's best known for being an elite safety prospect, but Poole contributes heavily on the offensive side of the ball as well. When Howard took on Baldwin High School last Friday, the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder had a game for the ages. He would finish with nine receptions for 245 yards and an unreal six touchdowns. Yes, you read that correctly: six touchdowns. Poole also did his thing defensively as he registered seven total tackles and one tackle for loss.
Poole has 367 yards receiving and eight touchdowns on the season to go with 14 tackles,
one tackle for loss, and two interceptions. He's simply an amazing athlete who will bring a ton of value to FSU if he remains with the program.
He's the No. 64 overall prospect in the country and the No. 6 safety per 247Sports composite rankings. They also have him listed as the No. 6 recruit in the state of Georgia.
