Florida State extended an offer to 2028 three-star athlete Malik Muhammad last August. Since then, he's visited the Seminoles on numerous occasions, including two game visits this season alone.
That type of persistence has landed FSU in a very favorable spot for the 6-foot-2.5, 215-pounder. Per Chad Simmons of Rivals, they are one of the favorites in his recruitment.
Sylvester (Ga.) Worth County athlete Malik Muhammad has a busy November ahead, and Florida State remains firmly in the picture. The 2028 prospect will make his first trip to Nebraska this weekend. Florida, Texas A&M and Georgia are also on his radar, with additional visits planned for November.
Florida State has something working in its favor that other programs cannot offer. Muhammad
grew up in Tallahassee and has visited Florida State four or five times. He likes the people around the program, and the opportunity to represent his hometown appeals to him.
Muhammad is the No. 478 prospect in the country and the No. 44 athlete per the Rivals industry rankings. In the state of Georgia, he's listed as the No. 55 recruit.
He plays several positions at Worth County High School in Sylvester, Georgia. Muhammad has taken snaps at edge, outside linebacker, and tight end. As a sophomore, he's put up 52 tackles, three tackles for loss, one interception, two forced fumbles, and a blocked field goal.
Florida State is looking to add to their No. 6 recruiting class in the 2028 cycle.
