Florida State kicks off the 2026 season this Saturday at home against the New Mexico State Aggies. They will have a plethora of prospects on campus for game visits, and 2028 cornerback Tyson Guion out of Thomas County Central High School will be one of them.
"I will be at FSU this weekend! Go Noles!🍢," Guion announced on social media.
Guion is an unranked prospect at the moment. However, he does have offers on the table from the Oregon State Beavers, USF Bulls, Duke Blue Devils, Tulane Green Wave, and others.
As a sophomore, Guion played in 12 games per MaxPreps. He logged five tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, and two pass breakups as he helped Thomas County Central go 15-0 and win the Class 5A state title in Georgia.
Guion made
some fireworks during a scrimmage on Aug. 7 against Cairo High School. On the first play, he ran back an interception for a touchdown. He registered six tackles (five solo) in Thomas County Central's 56-21 win over Colquitt County in their season opener last Friday.
If he continues to progress, Guion will be a prospect to keep tabs on with regard to Florida State, especially with their history of recruiting players from Thomas County Central like three-star edge Cam Brooks, who is entering his freshman season after signing with the Seminoles in the 2026 recruiting class.
