2028 four-star wide receiver Bubba Brown began his high school career at Florida State University High School in Tallahassee. Ahead of his sophomore campaign, he transferred to Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia.
Brown is getting ready for his junior season, but something is familiar this year. He has transferred back to Florida State University High School, making him one of the top recruits in the Sunshine State.
His recruitment is picking up lately, and a group of schools is separating themselves. One of them is FSU.
"South Carolina, Miami, Florida State now that I'm back home -- even when I was in Georgia, they started contacting me as well," Brown told 247Sports. "Clemson, LSU, Texas, Tennessee, and of course Florida."
Brown is the No.
142 prospect in the country and the No. 20 wide receiver per 247Sports composite rankings. He's also ranked as the state of Florida's No. 18 recruit.
Florida State has an advantage that only a few schools have. They're recruiting him to not only play football but basketball as well. Plus, there's the fact that he's only a few miles from the campus, putting them in prime position to make major waves in his recruitment this fall.
"Yeah, I think it could just allow me to get on campus a lot, seeing what's really going on, seeing how much I'm a priority at Florida State or wherever it is," Brown said. "But I think it definitely helps out in the recruitment process."
Last season at Lowndes, Brown contributed in several areas. He racked up 28 receptions for 518 yards and five touchdowns while also producing 156 yards and four touchdowns on the ground on his 24 carries. Brown logged one interception on defense as well and had punt return duties.
Brown plans to take game visits in the fall. Undoubtedly, he'll try to lock one in with FSU.
