The Florida State Seminoles are heading into an entirely new era with their football program. Head coach Mike Norvell was fired on Sunday along with multiple position coaches. This was a move that simply had to be made.
The focus now shifts to not only finding a new coach but keeping recruiting classes together. FSU currently has the No. 6 class in the 2028 cycle. The top-ranked player that's committed is three-star cornerback Man Robinson, who is being recruited as a safety.
Changing coaches calls into question if recruits who are committed will stick around. Robinson took to social media on Sunday night to express how he felt. He announced that he's staying in Tallahassee.
"Still HOME! #GoNoles," Robinson said.
The 247Sports composite rankings
have Robinson listed as the No. 430 prospect in the nation and the No. 43 cornerback. He's also the No. 51 recruit in the state of 51.
Florida State also parted ways with safeties coach Evan Cooper on Sunday, and he had a hand in getting Robinson to commit. So, much like 2028 three-star athlete Chayse Brown saying that he's staying with FSU, Robinson's statement is big.
