FSU's 2028 recruiting class has lost another member, with three-star edge Meshi Dobson decommitting on Wednesday. He is the second member of FSU's 2028 recruiting class to decommit after the Seminoles fired Mike Norvell, joining three-star tight end Troy Silberzahn.
Dobson committed to FSU back on June 22, kicking off an eventful recruitment. The Fort Lauderdale product was originally a member of the 2028 recruiting class, but announced he was reclassifying and joining the 2027 cycle when he picked the Seminoles. That changed in September, when he announced that he was rejoining the 2028 recruiting cycle.
He is ranked as the No. 467 overall player and No. 43 edge in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 59 player from Florida.
Dobson transferred
to Cypress Bay High School for his junior season. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder has been productive, recording 34 tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss, 13.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles, one of which he returned for a touchdown, in six games.
His departure leaves FSU with three commitments in the 2028 cycle in three-star athlete Chayse Brown, three-star safety Man Robinson, and unranked wide receiver Treiy Crenshaw. 247Sports ranks the class as the 19th best in the country and the 5th best in the ACC, they had the No. 8 class prior to his decommitment.
