The FSU Seminoles beat the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday, picking up a dominant win that they had to have. While it was not perfect, it was their best performance of the season and was exactly the kind of showing they needed at the start of ACC play.
The offense came alive in the second quarter, scoring 17 points to take the lead and never slowed down. FSU's first touchdown came on a 98-yard drive, something head coach Mike Norvell singled out as a turning point for them in the quarter after a slow start to the game.
"The touchdown drive, I think it was a 97- or 98-yard touchdown drive where we were able to have some big plays, we hit them on the screen play, and it was a really impressive start to that second quarter," he said. "I thought that was a great
kickstart for us, and it didn't start in the best of positions, but you guys made it happen and being able to utilize all the skills of what our guys are able to do."
Ashton Daniels was the player of the game, setting an FSU record with five rushing touchdowns. However, he wasn't the only player who made an impact, Micahi Danzy had his best game of the season, and Ousamne Kromah once again showed why he is one of the best running backs in the ACC.
