The FSU Seminoles suffered their first decommitment after firing head coach Mike Norvell on Tuesday, as 2028 three-star tight end Troy Silberzahn reopenedhis recruitment.
Silberzahn is from Melbourne, Florida, and is FSU's second decommitment in the 2028 cycle. He has had a productive junior season at Eau Gallie High School, catching 32 passes for 450 yards and two touchdowns in nine games.
He is ranked as the No. 732 overall player and No. 33 tight end in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 83 player from Florida.
FSU now has four commitments in the 2028 recruiting cycle: three-star edge Meshi Dobson, three-star athlete Chayse Brown, three-star safety Man Robinson, and unranked wide receiver Treiy Crenshaw. More movement is likely to come
after the overhaul of the coaching staff is completed over the next few months.
The Seminoles now have four total commitments, giving them the best recruiting class in the ACC and one of the best in the country, according to the 247Sports team rankings. Here is where FSU's recruiting class ranks among the 10 best in the country.
