Florida State wide receiver Duce Robinson had a fantastic season in 2025. He was an All-ACC performer with 56 receptions for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns. This has landed him on several watch lists and preseason lists.
Robinson has been placed on the preseason All-ACC team, the Maxwell Award Watch List
, and the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List. On Monday, Robinson was added to another watch list for this season. This one is for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.College football and NFL Hall of Famer, the late O.J. Simpson, was the first recipient of the award in 1967, and he won it again in 1968 while playing for the USC Trojans. Other two-time winners were Archie Griffin of the Ohio State Buckeyes (1974 and 1975) and Colt McCoy of the Texas
Longhorns (2008 and 2009).
FSU has had two quarterbacks win the award, and they both came during seasons in which they won the Heisman Trophy and led the program to a national championship. The first was Charlie Ward in 1993, and then Jameis Winston did the same in 2013.
Only seven receivers have won the award, making it likely a long shot that Robinson could walk away with the honor. Nonetheless, he's certainly worthy of being on the list, and he's poised for another huge year in 2026.
