The Florida State Seminoles want their first running back pledge in the 2028 cycle. On Wednesday, they made an offer to four-star recruit Elijah Cromwell out of Cherry Creek High School in Englewood, Colorado.
"Blessed to receive an offer from the university of Florida state!!," Cromwell announced on social media.
The competition for FSU when it comes to Cromwell is steep. He has close to 30 in total from schools such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Miami Hurricanes, Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines, Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, and more.
Cromwell is the No. 267 overall player nationally and the No. 18 running back according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He's the state of Colorado's No. 2 ranked prospect as well.
It's been a productive
junior campaign for Cromwell up until this point. He's run for 777 yards on 101 carries and scored 11 touchdowns. As a pass catcher, Cromwell has hauled in 10 passes for 135 yards and another score.
The Seminoles have blue-chip running back Jayden Miles committed in the 2027 cycle, and with them offering Cromwell, they want another in 2028.
