The start of the 2026 college football season is nearly here. Florida State football is one of 16 teams that will play on Saturday during Week 0 before all 138 FBS teams take the field next week.
FSU is looking to bounce back after back-to-back losing seasons that have seen them fall from the top of the ACC to the bottom. The Seminoles are 3-13 in conference games over the past two seasons and have not won a road game since 2023. They will have to be better this year for Mike Norvell to save his job, with him having arguably the hottest seat of any head coach in the country.
While they have seemingly upgraded at several positions over the offseason, they have one of the toughest schedules in the ACC, and little time to prepare. FSU will host the SMU
Mustangs in Week 1 before travelling to play the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 3. They will also play the Miami Hurricanes and Louisville Cardinals on the road.
They will start the season on Saturday when they play the New Mexico State Aggies in Doak Campbell Stadium. The game is set to start at 7 p.m. ET and will be on The CW.
