Florida State will be under new leadership in 2027 after parting ways with head coach Mike Norvell, defensive coordinator Tony White, and safeties coach Evan on Sunday. As they look towards the future, the recruiting side of things comes to the forefront.
What has been encouraging is that a plethora of committed players have voiced that they're still locked in with FSU, which shows their pledge was more about the program than being loyal to a particular coach. That list now includes 2027 four-star wide receiver Sean Green, as he announced that he remains strong in his commitment to the Seminoles despite Norvell being let go.
“Sad to see him go, he was a great man in football and outside of football,” Green said via Rivals. “I’m still committed
to FSU.”
Green is the No. 306 prospect nationally and the No. 45 wide receiver per Rivals industry rankings. He's the No. 31 ranked recruit in the state of Georgia as well.
Keeping Green should be a high priority for Florida State. He's their only receiver pledge in 2027 and the fifth-highest ranked commitment according to Rivals behind four-star safety Ta'Shawn Poole, four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune, four-star safety Jernard Albright (recruited as a linebacker), and four-star athlete Za'Kari Johnson.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder is having a productive season at Camden County High School. He's hauled in 40 receptions for 605 yards and nine touchdowns. Green has also gained 67 yards on four carries and logged one score as a runner, as well as 204 kickoff return yards.
