Florida State has gotten a head start on its 2028 class with two commitments so far. One area they want to get better at in terms of high school recruiting is the offensive line, and four-star prospect Nation Farmer is one of the players they like the most.
The 6-foot-4.5, 300-pounder has over 20 offers on the table. However, certain programs have separated themselves from the rest. FSU is one of them, per Zach Blostein of 247Sports, as well as some SEC and Big Ten schools.
Tennessee is doing an excellent job in the recruitment of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star offensive tackle Nation Farmer. Florida State, Auburn, Michigan and Oregon are a few other standouts.
Farmer is the No. 41 player nationally and the No. 6 offensive tackle in 247Sports
composite rankings. In the state of Florida, he's the No. 5 overall prospect.
The Seminoles haven't been involved in the recruitment of Farmer that long, as their offer didn't come until January. He did take his first visit to Tallahassee for a camp in June, and they'll need to try and get him back on campus for a game visit this fall.
A big reason for Florida State being so high on Farmer's list of schools is his connection with head coach Mike Norvell. He explained how his relationship with him got deeper recently with a simple conversation.
“I had about a 30-minute conversation with Coach Norvell in his office," Farmer said. "I really connected with him and the staff. Florida State has shown a lot of interest and I feel like that’s a place where I could be.”
Farmer is undoubtedly a prospect to keep an eye on when it comes to FSU in the 2028 cycle.
