ESPN's "College GameDay" has announced its Week 4 location, and the pregame show is staying in SEC country. The show is headed to Knoxville to watch the Tennessee Volunteers host the Texas Longhorns, announcing the news on Sunday morning.
It is the SEC opener for both programs, who have each started the year 3-0. It is the 13th time GameDay has been to Knoxville, and the show will once again be broadcast from the lawn of Ayres Hall from 9 a.m. ET until 11 a.m., Tennessee announced. The final hour of the show, from 11 a.m. to noon, will be inside Neyland Stadium before the game starts at noon on ABC.
Tennessee has had three dominant wins to start the season, cruising past Furman, Georgia Tech, and Kennesaw State. They are averaging 47.7 points
per game as the offense looks ready for its first test of the season.
Texas has had a tougher start to the season, beating the Ohio State Buckeyes in Week 2 to pick up a signature win before the start of conference play. The Longhorns have also beaten Texas State and UTSA at home, with this being their first road game of the year.
The usual crew of Rece Davis, Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Pat McAfee will preview all of Saturday's action before they are joined by a celebrity to pick the top games of Week 4. GameDay has attended an SEC home game the first three weeks of the season.
