The FSU baseball program has started to pick up some momentum in the 2028 recruiting cycle, landing a commitment from left-handed pitcher Sid Goecke on Tuesday. Goecke attends Monteverde Academy in Monteverde, Florida.
He was the first of two players who committed to Link Jarrett on Tuesday, with left-handed pitcher Brody Radwick doing so later in the day. FSU baseball landed its first commitment in the 2028 cycle last week when infielder Alex Rodriguez pledged to the Seminoles. All three are from the state of Florida.
Goecke took a massive step as a sophomore, finishing with a 4.95 ERA in 41.0 innings over 12 appearances. He allowed 38 runs (29 earned) on 23 hits and 27 walks, striking out 44 batters. Opponents hit .215 off him with a .358 on-base
percentage.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder played in just three games as a freshman, posting a 6.10 ERA in 10.1 innings of work. Opponents hit .341 off him with a .453 on-base percentage.
