Florida State has a loaded visitor schedule for its matchup against the Clemson Tigers on Oct. 31 in Doak Campbell Stadium. Running back Dalen Powell, defensive back Zion Dobson, and safety Giovanni Tuggle, who are all four-star prospects, are several of the prospects that will be in Tallahassee for the showdown.
Another blue-chip recruit has been added to the mix as well. Per Kolby Crawford of Noles247, offensive tackle Jordan Lewis has locked in a game visit for that matchup as well. Some of his other game visits include traveling to see the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sept. 5, the Georgia Bulldogs on Sept. 12, and the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sept. 26. He'll visit the in-state South Carolina Gamecocks twice this fall as well.
The 6-foot-4, 285-pounder
is the No. 49 overall prospect and the No. 6 offensive tackle according to 247Sports. He's also the No. 2 recruit in the state of South Carolina.
Lewis didn't get an offer from FSU until June when he was on campus for a camp. So, this visit will be extremely important in their pursuit of the Dorman High School star. Plus, offensive line coach Herb Hand needs to land some premium high school talent to go with his transfer portal prowess.
Speaking of Hand, Lewis had some glowing words about him after his trip to Florida State this summer.
"He's a great coach, I'm not going to lie," Lewis said. "As soon as I got to Florida State he was live and personable and instructing. I did my research before I got to the camp, he has a very impressive career."
That he has, and FSU will hope that will persuade Lewis to put FSU at the top of his list of schools.
