The FSU Seminoles are gearing up for their first ACC road game of the season, and they will have a shorter amount of time to do so than normal. They are set to play the Louisville Cardinals on Friday night in L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium
While Florida State has struggled on the road under Mike Norvell, they are coming into the game with some momentum. They are on a two-game winning streak after crushing the Virginia Cavaliers 38-7 on Saturday, by far their most impressive win of the season.
The win got them to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in ACC play, with Ashton Daniels making history. He set the program record for rushing touchdowns in the game with five and was named the ACC Quarterback of the Week afterwards. André Otto also won some hardware,
being named the conference's Offensive Lineman of the Week
Ahead of FSU-Louisville, ESPN's Bill Connelly predicted the final score using his SP+ metrics. Connelly has Louisville picking up a 32-29 victory, handing FSU its 11th straight road loss. His metrics give Louisville a 58% chance of winning, but not covering the spread after they opened as slight favorites over FSU.
FSU is the No. 36 team in the SP+ team rankings after Week 5. They have an overall rating of 63.1, with a 60.7 rating on offense and a -2.3 rating on defense. Louisville is the No. 32 team and features a 63.9 overall rating. They have a 63.3 offensive rating and a -0.5 defensive rating.
The game between FSU and Louisville starts at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday in L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. The game will be on ESPN, with Mike Monaco as the play-by-play announcer, Jordan Rodgers serving as the color commentator, and Dana Boyle reporting from the sideline.
