Florida State's football program is under construction in terms of it's leadership. Back in September, they fired athletic director Michael Alford after he had held the position since 2021. Last Sunday, they parted ways with head coach Mike Norvell, who had been with the program since 2019.
The search for replacements at each job are firmly underway for FSU. Earlier this week, they announced that they're partnering with Parker Executive Search to assist in both searches. Daniel Parker is the man behind their plan, and he has tons of experience as he's spearheaded over 200 searches for athletic directors and head coaches across several. He's also aided in conference commissioner searches and searches for the USOC and other professional sports
organizations.
The details of how much Florida State will pay the Atlanta-based firm have been revealed by Kolby Crawford of Noles247. Parker Executive Search will receive $100,000 for their search for the Seminoles' new athletic director. For the new head coach at FSU, they'll receive $75,000. Neither of those fees will include expenses.
The standard fee for Parker’s services is 30% of each hire's total cash compensation during the first year, with a minimum of $60,000. As far as the out-of-pocket expenses, that won't exceed more than 10 percent of each fee. The final bill for the search with exceed the flat fee of $175,000, and Florida State will reimburse Parker’s expenses as well. Parker will be entitled to an additional fee if FSU changes their search or asks for Parker to start the search over or expand it.
