For the 10th straight time the FSU Seminoles lost on the road, falling to the Alabama Crimson Tide 50-36 Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It is their second straight loss overall, and they are now 1-2 on the season.
The Seminoles came out prepared after a lengthy lightning delay, storming out to a 21-6 lead in the second quarter. They were unable to keep it going with Alabama scoring the next 20 points to take their first lead of the game. FSU did get the lead back, but Alabama went on a 24-8 run to complete the blowout.
FSU's defense had another touch performance, allowing Alabama to gain 567 yards of offense on 8.6 yards per play. Quarterback Keelon Russell was sensational, completing 23 of his 30 passes for 320
yards and three touchdowns, he also ran for a 57-yard touchdown.
