Florida State suffered its third consecutive loss on Saturday night to the Clemson Tigers, dropping 3-5. However, there was one positive that came out of it. They landed a commitment from unranked 2028 wide receiver Treiy Crenshaw out of South Walton High School in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, according to Zach Blostein of 247Sports.
This is the fifth commitment for FSU in the 2028 cycle. Crenshaw joins three-star edge Meshi Dobson, three-star cornerback Man Robinson (recruited as a safety), three-star athlete Chayse Brown (recruited as a safety), and three-star tight end Troy Silberzahn. The current haul is ranked No. 6 in the nation.
Crenshaw was in Tallahassee for a 7-on-7 camp back in June, and he left with an offer from the Seminoles. He was also
on campus for Florida State's season opener when they defeated the New Mexico State Aggies. Experiencing the atmosphere once again inside Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday was enough to convince Crenshaw to commit.
Before moving to Florida, Crenshaw attended Douglas High School in Alabama. According to the 6-foot-3, 187-pounder, his relationships with wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. and recruiter Devin Rispress played a a huge factor in him pledging to Florida State. Also, it made sense to him geographically in regards to his family.
"It's closer for my family, and my grandfather really loves it," Crenshaw told 247Sports. "They show so much love every time I come."
As a freshman at Douglas, Crenshaw registered 18 receptions for 399 yards and three touchdowns, and then he followed it up with 30 receptions for 565 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. He's racked up 14 receptions for 169 yards and two touchdowns as a junior at South Walton.
