The FSU baseball program has canceled Saturday's fall ball game against the Auburn Tigers in Pensacola due to the expected impact of Tropical Storm Isaias, the Seminoles announced Wednesday. The two programs are not rescheduling the game.
It was going to be FSU's first game of the fall. They will now open their fall slate on Friday, Oct. 16, against the Jacksonville Dolphins. The game will be in Dick Howser Stadium and is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. ET.
The Seminoles have three other games scheduled for the fall. They will host the North Florida Ospreys on Oct. 17 before playing the USF Bulls on Oct. 24 at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Florida. FSU will end its fall schedule on Friday, Oct. 30, with its annual Garnet & Gold All-Star Game.
FSU
is looking to improve after going 40-19 last season, but failing to make it out of the Tallahassee Regional. Head coach Link Jarrett added several major transfers to try to keep the success going after losing large portions of its roster to the 2026 MLB Draft.
FSU will open the regular season against USC Upstate on Feb. 19, playing a three-game series in Tallahassee. Thirty-five of their 55 games will be played at home this season.
