The Florida State Seminoles are dipping into the JUCO ranks to find offensive linemen in the 2027 cycle. In addition to top-ranked tackle Antrale Newson, they have offered versatile prospect David Giwa out of Hutchinson Community College in Marietta, Georgia.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pounder received it on Wednesday night during a phone call with FSU's offensive line coach Herb Hand. On top of that, an official visit has been locked in for when Florida State plays the Pittsburgh Panthers on the road.
"We talked about me going up there on Nov. 13 while they play away," Giwa told Noles247.
Giwa is a three-star prospect that's listed as the No. 9 player nationally and the No. 3 offensive tackle per 247Sports composite JUCO rankings. He's also the No. 1 player in the state
of Georgia.
This will be the first official visit for Giwa, and at the moment, he doesn't have any more planned. That's a key aspect, seeing as he plans to make his decision in December. Giwa has taken snaps at guard and tackle at Hutchinson.
FSU is looking for their first commit from an offensive lineman in their 2027 class, which makes Giwa and the aforementioned Newson such important targets.
