Florida State football running backs Ousmane Kromah and Quintrevion Wisner have both been placed on the Doak Walker Award Watch List. The award is given to the nation's most outstanding college running back by the PwC SMU Athletic Forum.
Kromah is entering his second season with the Seminoles and has seemingly beaten out Wisner and Samuel Singlton Jr. for the starting job. He had a productive freshman season, but has taken a step over the offseason and appears poised for a breakout season. Wisner and Singleton are still expected to have key roles for the Seminoles as they will frequently have multiple running backs on the field
Kromah played in all 12 games last season as a true freshman, making two starts as part of the running back rotation.
He finished third on the team in carries (72) and yards (408). He also showed how dangerous he can be in the passing game, catching nine passes for 147 yards and a touchdown.
Wisner spent the first three years of his career with the Texas Longhorns and added some needed experience to FSU's running back room. He finished his Texas career with 369 carries for 1,734 yards and nine touchdowns, adding 66 receptions for 457 yards.
FSU is one of seven schools and one of two in the ACC with multiple players on the Doak Walker Award Watch List. The winner will be revealed on Dec. 10 as part of The Home Depot College Football Awards show on ESPN. No Seminole has ever won the award.
