Week 7 was one of the best weeks of college football weekends we have had in quite some time, with five top 10 teams going down. There was nearly a sixth, with the Miami Hurricanes needing double overtime to beat the FSU Seminoles.
It wasn't the only surprising outcome in the ACC, with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons going on the road and embarrassing the Cal Golden Bears. The North Carolina Tar Heels continued their rise, upsetting the Duke Blue Devils on the road, while Boston College upset the Pitt Panthers, getting their first ACC win of the season.
It wasn't all chaos, with the Clemson Tigers and Stanford Cardinal comfortable handling their FCS opponents. SMU also took care of business, beating Virginia by two possessions as they continue to stack
wins.
