The Kansas City Chiefs saw veteran wideouts Tyquan Thornton and Rashee Rice exit their Week 4 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders due to injury, and the team has now found itself short of depth at the wide receiver position.
With a Week 5 bye on the horizon, Kansas City has some time to solve its paucity of proven pass-catchers,l and NFL insider Michael Silver broke news that the Chiefs had "reached out" to All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill.
One of the league's most dynamic wideouts, Hill began his career with Kansas City as a fifth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and was a member of the Chiefs' Super Bowl LIV roster.
Take a look at Silver's full update on Kansas City's pursuit of Hill, which was posted to his official Twitter account after the Chiefs'
win over the Raiders:
The Chiefs have already reached out to Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus. More to come shortly at @TheAthletic https://t.co/L5YOHBEL4K

While it remains unclear if Kansas City's front office will actually strike a deal with the superstar pass-catcher in the coming days, the prospect of a reunion between the Chiefs and Hill is intriguing, especially given the torrid pace head coach Andy Reid's offense has set through four weeks of the 2026 NFL regular season.
