The Kansas City Chiefs found a diamond in the rough in undrafted rookie offensive lineman Kahlil Benson. He started at left tackle in all three September games for Kansas City after not playing the position in college.
Benson was named AFC Offensive Rookie of the Month for September, becoming the eighth offensive lineman ever to win the award. He became the fifth Chiefs player to win a Rookie of the Month award, joining Kareem Hunt in September and December 2017, Eric Berry in December 2010, Nick Bolton in October 2021, and Marcus Peters in December 2015.
Not a bad start to your NFL career 👏
