The experts at ESPN have ranked Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes as the 20th-best fantasy football quarterback in Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season.
Mahomes has tumbled in the rankings since Week 4, when he earned recognition as the league's third-best signal-caller. Another subpar performance from the two-time MVP could send him even lower.
For fantasy managers starting Mahomes this week, here are his predicted stats against the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium:
QB Patrick Mahomes predicted stats vs. Broncos in Week 8
Patrick Mahomes desperately needs a 'get-right' game this week after posting average stat lines over the past few weeks. While the Chiefs are still winning, the two-time MVP is certainly not playing his best football.
The Broncos' defense allows an average of 349 yards per game, the
eighth-worst in the league. Their pass defense is slightly better, but they should be a relatively easy foe compared to the Seattle Seahawks.
Admittedly, I don't have high expectations for Mahomes this week. I think Kansas City's shot-caller is good for about 250 yards, a touchdown, and a poorly timed red zone interception.
