Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton spoke with reporters on Wednesday. He discussed Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers and how he compares to Travis Kelce.
"We only got one game on him this year, and how they're going to use them," said Bolton. "But obviously, versatile with the ball, they find different ways to get them involved in the offense, spread them out, put them in location, screen game. So gotta be aware of where he's at. Just kind of have the 22 eyes on him, I guess, and execute the game plan."
Bowers earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 3, recording 10 receptions for 116 yards, the most of any tight end. This was Bowers' sixth career game with at least 10 receptions, the most by a tight end in his first three
seasons in NFL history.
(He - Bowers) has similarities. He's a little smaller than Kelce, a little more twitchy," said Bolton. "I guess you could say younger Kelce, but yeah, definitely good with the ball, good ball skills, able to run all the routes and all that stuff. So definitely similarities in the game."
With a team-leading 11 tackles (eight solo) in last Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, Bolton had his 25th game with 10 or more tackles, tying Chiefs Hall of Famer Derrick Johnson for the most games with 10 or more tackles in Chiefs history.
