Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones spoke with reporters on Thursday. He vented his thoughts on the importance of collecting sacks in his career.
"I don't play for stats. I don't play for (sacks). I mean, sacks are huge. Can't say nothing, but sacks are huge," said Jones. "But I don't play for stats. I play for letters. W and then L."

Jones hasn't had the same level of production fans and critics are used to during his highly praised career. The sacks aren't there statistically, but
the former All-Pro remains focused on the bigger picture: the team winning games.
"Most important thing is winning. That's the most important thing," said Jones. "Sometimes my job isn't for me to go out there and get hit sets. Sometimes it's for me to open up for other players to be successful."
Jones has 13 total tackles, 0.5 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery through 7 games this season. He will hope to improve those numbers in the second half of the season, starting this Sunday against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium.
