Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce spoke with reporters after practice on Wednesday at Missouri Western State University. He reflected on his offseason wedding to music superstar Taylor Swift while looking ahead to the 2026 season.
"It was a fun offseason, man. (The) wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us," said Kelce. "It was a crazy night full of a lot of celebration, but it's football, baby."
On July 3, 2026, the security, curtains, tents, and tunnels surrounding Madison Square Garden were a reminder that unless you received a direct invite from the couple, you would not be able to witness the iconic event. Kelce thanked the world-renowned venue's owners for hosting
the special night.
"I always told myself I'd go for a playoff game when the Knicks were rocking, and my wife (Swift) went when I was stuck in minicamp," Kelce said. "It was kind of cool to live out my childhood dream to be in that venue. I can't thank the owners of MSG enough for allowing us the opportunity to do that, knowing we wanted a private event."
Actor and friend of the couple, Eric Stonestreet, recently sat down with Chiefs Wire Senior Writer Ed Easton Jr. to recap his experience as an invitee of the wedding. He echoed Kelce's response, calling it an amazing night as the 11-time Pro Bowler shifts his focus to his 14th NFL season.
