The Kansas City Chiefs aimed to extend their winning streak and improve to 4-0 on the road against the also undefeated Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Week 4. The AFC West showdown pitted two undefeated teams against each other and could factor into playoff positioning late in the season.
The Chiefs' offense showed plenty of frustration but also resilience, despite significant injuries to wide receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton. Patrick Mahomes was solid under pressure, connecting on deep passing chances, while Kenneth Walker continued to dominate on the ground.
Defensively, the unit struggled to sack Kirk Cousins while slowing the Raiders' talented tight end tandem. The biggest play came on special teams, when linebacker Jeffrey
Bassa punched the ball out to force a fumble and a Chiefs fourth-quarter recovery. The game ended on a Xavier Nwankpa interception after brilliant pressure from George Karlaftis.
Check out how some of Kansas City's stars fared in the Chiefs' victory over the Raiders:
Stock Up: Kenneth Walker III
The reigning AFC Offensive Player of the Month is off to a great start in October. He finished Sunday's game with another dominant performance: 22 carries for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Stock Up: Tyquan Thornton
Before the unfortunate injury, Thornton was having a career game with 5 catches for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Stock Up: Matt Araiza
Araiza continues to perform as one of the league's best punters this season, and now he can add his running ability to his merits. A rare fake punt led Araiza to run for 12 yards and an early, unexpected first down.
Stock Down: Nohl Williams
The second-year defensive back committed crucial penalties in the first half that led to scoring opportunities for the Raiders.
