The Kansas City Chiefs saw their record in the 2026 NFL regular season drop to 5-2 after a brutal sequence with seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of a Week 8 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
With the ball near the Broncos' goal line, the Chiefs had an opportunity to take the lead, but an untimely false start by right tackle Jaylon Moore and poor blocking by Kansas City's offensive line ultimately resulted in an unfortunate loss at the hands of Denver.
Former Chiefs quarterback Chase Daniel broke down the brutal end-of-game collapse after the final score was posted, explaining to fans exactly how Kansas City managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory:

While the Chiefs can't go back in time to fix the mistakes that led to their second loss of the season, Kansas City will have an excellent opportunity to get back in the win column when it faces the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 9.
