This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke with TV Analyst and former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green.
In his interview with Easton Jr., Green joined the unveiling of the Dr Pepper "Fan Wall of Fame" painting on the side of the Alumni Hall building at his alma mater, Indiana University, curated by Indianapolis artist Nate Baranowski. He discussed the offseason addition of running back Kenneth Walker III to the offense.
"The first Dr Pepper Fan Wall of Fame will be unveiled," said Green. "It celebrates fans across college football, especially here in Bloomington, and marks last year's national championship and the start of this year's season."

Green orchestrated some explosive offenses during his six seasons in Kansas City. He weighed in on Walker's addition and how it will contribute to this year's offense.
"Well, I think there are just different ways to attack it, and I think the three Super Bowl championships and the five Super Bowl appearances show that you can do it without a 1,000-yard rusher," said Green, "and how offenses have spread out over the last decade. I see that trend changing a little bit more. I say that because if you look at last year with the Seattle Seahawks that won the Super Bowl, Denver (Broncos), New England (Patriots), the (Los Angeles) Chargers, teams that like to get underneath center and do more of the running game, play multiple tight end packages."
Over the past few seasons, Kansas City has relied on its defense because its offense hasn't produced many explosive plays. Mahomes' early seasons saw the unit rank among the best in the NFL regularly.
"Defenses have adapted over the last decade to doing more bubble coverage, so they get four deep, and then on the snap they rotate," said Green. "Whether they drop the safeties, whether they rotate the safeties, whether they roll to one corner, whatever it is, they're making it hard to get the big plays. There are fewer big plays now than what we're kind of in that, we still think of the high-flying Chiefs with Tyreek Hill and Patrick Mahomes and throwing 50 touchdowns and those kinds of things. I think the league has adjusted to that."
Walker was signed during the offseason after leading the Seattle Seahawks to victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, earning game MVP honors with 27 carries for a season-high 135 yards and 26 receiving yards.
"As much as anything, you want to focus on the tight ends and the run game and the underneath passes in that 10 to 15 to 20 yarder in the middle of the field, maybe a slant or a drag underneath if you if you get some depth of the of the underneath coverage," said Green, "I think all those things are going to happen I think I think you'll see Patrick under under center more because of the offensive evolve the way the offense has evolved I think it is going to be huge for for Kenneth Walker this year I think they are going to find ways to use him in the passing game not just in the screen game which is something that he's very capable of. Still, I think they're going to find different ways to get him involved in the pass game as well. But running the football is going to be a vital part of this Chiefs offense this year."
