Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill spoke with reporters on Wednesday. He identified All-Pro wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba as the Seattle Seahawks' top offensive threat heading into Week 7.
"Yeah, he's (Jaxon Smith-Njigba) explosive. I don't know that you can just purely stop him. They're going to find ways to get the ball in his hands, and he's really, really good after the catch," said Tranquill. "There's a couple clips on tape this year where it's just like create something out of nothing, just explosive play. So we'll have to try to keep a lid on him. Sam (Darnold) looks his way, and for good reason. He's a really good player, and so we'll have to be on it."
Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba leads the NFL with 717 receiving
yards entering Week 7. He is the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year and the Chiefs' defense's main focus on Sunday night.
Smith-Njigba is the fourth player since 2000 with at least 100 receiving yards in five of his team's first six games of a season, joining Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, and Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison.
