According to ESPN, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the ninth-best fantasy quarterback heading into Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season.
After an impressive performance in Kansas City's win over the Denver Broncos on 'Monday Night Football,' Mahomes jumped four spots in ESPN's fantasy rankings for the quarterback position
in Week 2. The Indianapolis Colts' defense ranked 30th in pass defense last season, which should prove advantageous for the two-time MVP.For fantasy managers with Mahomes in their lineup this week, here are his predicted stats against the Colts on 'Sunday Night Football'.
QB Patrick Mahomes predicted stats vs Colts in Week 2
Admittedly, I slightly overestimated quarterback Patrick Mahomes last week. I expected a vintage Mahomes performance, and while he was impressive,
he didn't quite live up to my prediction. I will still be starting the six-time Pro Bowler this week, but I have learned to manage my expectations.
As previously stated, the Colts' defense is far worse than Denver's. If Mahomes can still score two touchdowns against the Broncos, it stands to reason that he can do the same against Indianapolis. I expect 200+ yards and two touchdowns from Mahomes.
