On the 'Chiefs Wire Podcast Interview Series', we showcase new players, celebrities, and prominent NFL players with unique takes and stories about the Kansas City Chiefs.
Watch as Senior Writer Ed Easton Jr. speaks with ESPN basketball analyst Jay Bilas about the changes in college sports with NIL, the transfer portal, and his unexpected NFL tryout offer after his college basketball career.
"He (Travis Kelce) could absolutely do it. He would have been an enforcer in the 1980s in the NBA. Still, Travis is a great athlete, and that's sort of the issue with all these guys, is you have guys that played in the NFL that were all-American caliber basketball players in high school just chose to play football," saidBilas, "That doesn't surprise me at all, because
most of these guys were all multi-sport athletes, and had an opportunity, like Daniel Jones, who, who played football at Duke, and in the NFL. He could have played college basketball in a heartbeat."
