This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke with Atlanta Falcons All-Pro running back Bijan Robinson.
In his interview with Easton Jr., Robinson discussed "My Greatest 7," a new campaign inspired by the stories behind football's most iconic number. In the new TV spots, Bijan reflects on the moments that shaped his career alongside friends and family before revealing it's actually about the $7 Big Deal Meal from SONIC. He opened up about his acting experiences, including a recent role in the ManningCast trailer alongside Kansas City Chiefs stars Andy Reid and Travis Kelce.
"It's been a couple of years since I've done acting lessons, so it's more just trying to, like, do it through experience and do it through my personality, but it's been really
fun, man. Like getting to do the commercials and to show my personality, show who I am, and then people love it and love seeing it," said Robinson. "So they'll, hold on, say, I'm sorry, excuse me. But for them to go out there, see me do it, buy it, and then tag it online or on social media. There'll be so many Instagram stories like I got SONIC just because I saw him in the commercial." So that's been really cool, and all the other stuff I've been doing too has been fun, but yeah, man, I've been enjoying it."
The Falcons have dealt with quarterback injuries in the weeks leading up to their Week 10 matchup with the Chiefs. Robinson addressed the tough position the team was in, having to start their emergency third-string quarterback in Week 1.
"Yeah, just through that positive reinforcement and through just bringing each other together even closer. I know that Coop (Cooper Rush) got thrown into it really quickly," said Robinson, "But for us, it's our job to uplift them as a man, as a player, and to make them feel as comfortable as possible. We ain't gonna stop doing it, man. I can't wait to get to practice tomorrow and get back to work. I know everybody else is, too."
The $7 Big Deal Meal is a SONIC value meal that includes a SONIC Cheeseburger, your choice of Medium Tots or Fries, a Medium Drink, and a Vanilla Sundae for just $7.
