Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy spoke with reporters on Wednesday. He commented on Patrick Mahomes' trust in him and his weekly improvement.
"Yeah, Pat's (Patrick Mahomes) is really good about kind of letting you know where he wants you on the route, whether that's spacing, whether that's yardage, and how he's gonna throw it," said Worthy. "So, I mean, if it's something that we need to work on too, we kind of go off to the side and run that route, kind of individually. So he's really good about that."
Worthy caught seven passes for 73 yards on Sunday, setting season highs in the victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. He continues to focus on improving each week and building his connection with Mahomes.
"Nah, obviously just me getting
more comfortable," said Worthy. "Just obviously me and Pat building that relationship, and you know me feeling stronger and getting better with you each and every week."
Worthy caught 15, 17, and 19-yard passes in the Week 6 win, finishing with one of his best statistical games in Kansas City.
