The 2026 regular season is days away, with the Kansas City Chiefs beginning their campaign next Monday night against the Denver Broncos. Already, the team faces numerous doubters about whether it can return to its winning ways.
During a recent appearance on the 'Up & Adams Show' with Kay Adams, NFL legend and TV analyst Rob Gronkowski weighed in on the Chiefs' chances this upcoming season and whether their dynasty is over.
"The first era of their dynasty- they had a mini-dynasty; there is no doubt about that- it's over," said Gronkowski. "They didn't go to the playoffs last year; they got smacked all over the field, Patrick Mahomes went down, and just nothing went their way."

The Chiefs' struggles last season are well noted, with their AFC West division-winning streak snapped and a first-time playoff miss in a decade.
"If they are going to have another dynasty," said Gronkowski, "it starts now."
Gronkowski has experienced success as part of the New England Patriots dynasty. He sees the obstacles in front of Kansas City going into the new season.
