The Kansas City Chiefs travel to face the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 with a chance to start the season on a three-game winning streak and remain undefeated. The league has released this week's announcer assignments, including familiar names covering the game in Miami.
The CBS Sports broadcast team of Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, and Melanie Collins will cover the Chiefs against the Dolphins on Sunday at 12 pm CT. Harlan and Green have significant ties to the Chiefs, making them very familiar to the Kansas City audience.
During his six seasons as Kansas City's starting quarterback, Green led the Chiefs to one division title and two playoff appearances while earning two Pro Bowl selections. He currently serves as a color analyst for the Chiefs during
the preseason and continues to support the franchise.
Harlan previously called games for the Chiefs for nine seasons from 1985 to 1993. A notable play-by-play call from Harlan was in 2019 during the Los Angeles Chargers at Chiefs game, as he began calling the Miami Dolphins at the New England Patriots game during the Chargers vs. Chiefs broadcast; the Chiefs won with the Patriots loss, allowing the Chiefs to claim a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed in the playoffs.
