Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters after the Week 7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He didn't hold back on the issues from last Sunday night's game.
"Listen, all three phases we struggled, so we've got to do better. That's my responsibility," Reid said. "So I take full responsibility for this. We've got to play better as a team. Tough place to play, but this is all part of it. They're a good football team (Seahawks). They played well. Hat goes off to them."
The offense struggled but did have a milestone moment for tight end Travis Kelce. He led the team in receiving yards, catching four passes for 44 yards, and now owns 15,423 receiving yards, passing Tony Gonzalez, the most receiving yards by a tight end (regular and postseason)
in NFL history.
"Not a whole lot of stats that I can share with you that really make any sense, maybe other than third down; both sides of the ball, we can do a better job," said Reid. "Got a great locker room here, and guys will get back in and get themselves ready to play against a good Denver team this next week."
Drue Tranquill led the team with 12 tackles (four solo). It was his sixth game recording 10+ tackles, and Nick Bolton had 11 tackles (six solo), including one tackle for loss. It was his fourth 10+ tackle game this season, tying him for the most in the NFL.
