Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes made a triumphant return to the gridiron on 'Monday Night Football' in Week 1, lifting his team to its first regular-season victory in front of a home crowd at Arrowhead Stadium.
Mahomes missed part of Kansas City's 2025 campaign due to a serious knee injury he sustained last December, and there was a degree of uncertainty about his ability to recover in time for the Chiefs' home opener.
The former Texas Tech Red Raider proved his doubters wrong in Week 1, rushing for Kansas City's first touchdown on 'Monday Night Football' and completing 15 of his 27 pass attempts for 184 yards and two touchdowns.
After the Chiefs' primetime win, Mahomes took to Twitter to share his reaction to Kansas City's performance
against Denver:

With a victory over the Broncos under his belt, Mahomes will turn his attention to the Chiefs' Week 2 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on 'Sunday Night Football.'
